One of the most effective strategies that we see in growing a practice is pre-scheduling multiple appointments with your patients. Now what's that mean exactly? When a patient starts therapy, you already have an idea of how many sessions it might take to make meaningful progress.

Now for some, that might be a few sessions, but for most, It'll take 10 or 15 or even 20 sessions to see real transformation. So instead of scheduling one visit at a time or just booking a few weeks ahead, take control of the process early. At the end of the second session, sit down with your patient and say, now I believe to get the best outcome, we should commit to the next 15 Wednesdays at 3:30. Can you set that time aside? Once they agree, don't just schedule a few sessions, book all 15 right there. Now why is that so important? Because every gap in scheduling creates an easy exit point for the patient. If you only book one at a time, or even a month at a time, they'll start to think, well, I'll just see how I feel this week, or they'll expect therapy to only last for a few sessions, and they may not continue to the full treatment plan they actually need. By setting the expectations from the start and locking in those appointments, you create a structure that keeps them engaged and committed. Now, therapists who implement this strategy consistently see a 30% increase in their practice volume, and that growth is sustainable.
